Located on the south side of Edmonton, Pure Wellness Studio offers top quality massage therapy, acupuncture, nutritional counseling and personal training for you and your family. Whether you have been injured in an auto or work related accident or feel great and want to feel better, Pure Wellness Studio provides the care you need from pain relief to overall health and wellness.
The practitioners at our office see patients with a wide range of health challenges from everyday stressors, whiplash injuries, sports performance, and pregnancy. At Pure Wellness Studio we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for people of all ages by empowering them to take charge of their own health.
Michael Clark, BPE, Personal FitnessTrainer, Owner
Mike is the Director of Trainers and co-founder of Pure Wellness Studio. Mike’s passion for fitness, his commitment to his clients and his relentless energy are the driving forces behind his success. A graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Physical Education, Mike studied human functional anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, as well as received coaching experience in a wide variety of sports. He is a Certified Personal Trainer and Functional Training Specialist with the National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association (NESTA), and a Certified TRX Instructor.
Since 1998 Mike has been working in the fitness industry, specializing in functional training, sport-specific training, strength training and plyometric exercise routines. He has worked with a wide scope of clientele ranging from beginner to professional athletes (NHL, CFL).
Mike believes that consistent exercise should be a vital part of a healthy balanced lifestyle, and because no two people are alike, neither are their workouts. Mike will strategically develop a program that is specific to your exercise and fitness goals. Each training session is maximized by paying attention to unique individual needs, to movement efficiency, and to exercise safety.
He continues to pursue his education in health and science and is updating himself through workshops, courses and research.

Daniele Gauthier-Bettio, Registered Massage Therapist, Owner
Daniele's background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree (Psychology major) from the University of Alberta. She completed her Massage Therapy training at Grant MacEwan college in 2002 and has been helping people with their journey in rehabilitation ever since.
Daniele incorporates trigger point therapy, deep tissue work, joint mobilization, active release and myofascial techniques into her treatment to help acheive optimum wellness. As well she practices pregnancy massage, and general relaxation massage to have people feeling at their best. She strongly believes in adapting her treatment to meet each of her clients specific needs.
In her spare time Daniele enjoys running, soccer, hiking , travelling and spending time with her family and friends. Daniele is a Licensed Practitioner by the City of Edmonton, and a member of the NHPC (Natural Health Practitioners of Canada), and is married with two children.
Alanna Lamarche, Registered Massage Therapist, Owner
Alanna completed her studies at the Kine-Concept Institute of Massage Therapy in Ottawa, Ontario. She is a Registered Massage Therapist through L’Association des Massothérapeutes du Quebec as well as a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada.
Alanna uses a combination of deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, as well as stretching active release technique to help with joint mobilization, pain relief and general relaxation. Alanna enjoys educating her clients on the importance of finding balance, the body’s ability to heal on its own and the value of integrating lifetime chiropractic care in their health care choices.
Her educational background other than massage therapy includes: three years in Interpersonal Communication Studies through Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario and a Diploma in Addiction Careworker through McMaster University.
In her spare time Alanna enjoys dancing, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Kate Hutzul, Registered Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner
Kate is a registered massage therapist wih the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. She completed the advanced massage therapy program at M.H Vicars School of Massage in 2011. To help her clients on their journey to feeling their very best, Kate enjoys using a variety of techniques including swedish massage, trigger point release, deep tissue and relaxation massage. Kate is also a Reiki Practitioner. The combination of Reiki and massage is a great way to get the mind, body and soul in equal balance. Kate is married with one daughter.
She enjoys basketball, yoga, and spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends.
Brandon Jacobs, Registered Massage Therapist
Brandon obtained his Bachelor of Education (Physical Education/Health Education) as well as a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of Alberta in 2004. He taught Physical Education for four years before leaving the profession to pursue a career in holistic health. He obtained his massage therapy certification in 2009 through the National Health Practitioners of Canada and maintains his AFLCA personal training certification (obtained in 2004). Brandon believes in the power of massage therapy as a preventative therapy as well as a rehabilitation tool. He uses a variety of deep tissue, trigger point, active release, stretching and overall relaxation techniques to achieve optimum wellness, while educating clients on achieving and maintaining a balance in life.
Brandon enjoys a very active lifestyle which includes hot yoga, running, Olympic lifting, swimming and volleyball. He also enjoys time with his fiancé Jess, their dog Nixon and their extended families.
Shelley Rowe, Registered Massage Therapist
Shelley is presently completing the Advanced Massage Therapy Program at MH Vicars School of Massage and is also excited to begin studying Reiki and Cranial Sacral Massage. She is a registered massage therapist with the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada .Shelley believes that massage therapy can be an essential component to overall well being and should be part of a regular healthcare routine. She uses an assortment of techniques including trigger point therapy, myofacsial release and Swedish massage to meet the diversified needs of her clients.
Shelley leads a healthy active lifestyle with her family. She enjoys working out, biking, hiking, playing ball and spending precious time with her three children.
Eric Jin, Acupuncturist
Eric was exposed to the practice of acupuncture from an early age. Through his family ties, he has gained first-hand experience from his uncle and grandfather in South Korea, learning the proper techniques and procedures of acupuncture. He recently completed the acupuncture program at Grant MacEwan University in 2010, after excelling in two years of Bachelor of Science Physiology courses. Although, acupuncture treats wide range of conditions, Eric specializes in sports; his main talents are invested in treating muscle injuries and rehabilitating. He has also gained a sufficientunderstanding of trigger point therapy through his education. During that time,Eric also acquired a certificate from Sport Medicine Acupuncture, and enjoyskeeping active on his own time.
His favorite activity is soccer, but he also frequents the gym regularly and tries to spend as much time as he can in the outdoors.
Melanie Goodwin, Yoga Instructor
Melanie has participated in many forms of physical self-wellness during her lifetime;some of these include dance, Pilates, weight training, cycling,skiing, as well as yoga. Faced with a crossroad in her life, she began to question why her attempts at wellness were not enough and started looking for answers within her yoga practice. During a 3 month self-guided tour of India, leaving her husband and 2 children behind, she dove deeper into those questions and it was there that she found her answers…
Melanie is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with the internationally recognized Yoga Alliance (YA). She practices and is dedicated to teaching the traditional and deeply spiritual aspects of Yoga, derived from the teachings of Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnu-Devananda. Her focus as an instructoris to look at Yoga as a holistic approach to personal wellness while helping you develop your daily practice.
